Admission & Registration
2007 - 2008

Tuition: $4,700.00
Monthly: $470.00 (10 month plan / July-April)
Registration Fee: $100.00 Non-Refundable
Testing Fee: $20.00 Non-Refundable (money order only)
Technology Fee: Waived
Book Fee: Waived

Admission Requirements
All admission policies are subject to the rules and regulations of the Maryland State Department of Education and the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Kindergarten
The child must be 5 years of age by December 31st of the current school year. Successful completion of the "Early Prevention of School Failure" test is required.

Grade 1
The child must be 6 years of age by December 31st of the current school year. The decision on first grade admission is usually determined by the Kindergarten teacher's recommendation. New first grade students will be given the Scoring High Test.

Grades 2-8
1. Students must be on grade level or above.
2. Have satisfactory marks in Conduct and Effort.
3. Students must place on or above their grade level on the achievement tests given in Reading, Comprehension, Vocabulary, Math, and Writing.

Students whose performance on the admissions testing is below grade level may be accepted with a need to repeat the current grade. Although the grades earned on a new student's report card from his/her prior school are reviewed during the admission process, the results of the admissions testing given at SBCS will take precedent.

All New Students
Birth Certificates are required for all students. Baptismal Certificates are required for Catholic children not baptized at St. Bernardine's Catholic Church. Also require by Maryland State Law is the following medical information:
A. Current Immunizations
B. Student Transfer Sheet from current school
C. Social Security Card
All first year admissions will be placed on academic and behavior probation's for the first marking period. However, depending upon the severity of the student's behavior, the administration reserves the right to withdraw the student at anytime.
